Alex’s interest in photography started when given a Kodak box Brownie as a boy but was boosted by photographing his children and showing the beauty of the natural world around us to others. He used photography as a Social Worker, including promoting children requiring foster carers. It was this that has inspired the storybooks and photobook records with children and families.

Wedding photography has been practiced for eighteen years and professionally for eight years. Alex has been keen to learn from other photographers and artists to forge his own eclectic style. Alex has also learnt aspects from his daughter Kate and considers they make a great team.
Alex is a member of The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, abiding by their rules and code of conduct.

Kate graduated with a 2.1 in Photographic Arts in 2008 from the University of Westminster and studied photography for five years becoming a proficient photographer. Having studied Photographic Arts at degree level she applies the conceptual and artistic knowledge she has gained to her passion of social photography, including documentary, portraiture and reportage photography. Kate also works as the Project and Office Manager for the Science Gallery, London.
